Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an interim financial accountant at a Hemel Hempstead construction business. Previous financial accounting experience is essential and any experience in a construction/engineering business is adventageous. Responsibilities Preparation of consolidated financial statements Assist the Financial Controller in posting routine monthly journals Cashflow forcasting Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure costs are allocated to the appropriate entities Take ownership of the audit process and financial statement production. Responsibility for monitoring covenants and preparing quarterly compliance certificates Compile and review balance sheet reconciliations Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) Strong excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables) A self-starter, who is willing to take initiative in new and sometimes challenging tasks Good communication skills, an ability to converse with employees across all levels, within and outside of Finance function A good team player with energetic and enthusiastic personality Absolute discretion and adherence to confidentiality is a requirement
