SAS - Scripting - UNIX OS - Banking - SAS Grid Administration Role: Senior SAS Administrator Type: Permanent Location: Edinburgh Salary & Benefits: Highly Competitive Our client, a well respecting bank urgently require a Senior SAS Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis in Edinburgh. Their focus is to ensure the customer comes first and continuing to provide an excellent level of service. This vital role will provide an opportunity to work within a team who support analytics tools across the bank, with exposure to exciting new technologies. You will support by utilising four large production SAS platforms, used across all business functions. This role will provide opportunities to work on a variety of different tasks each day in a fast paced and high performing team. Role You'll be responsible for providing technical leadership in the delivery of excellent service to our customers through one or more service management disciplines, such as Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Capacity, Availability or Configuration Management. Other responsibilities include: Provide technical support for relevant platforms, activities and processes Technical leadership in support of IT systems Taking ownership of services in the relevant areas Driving ongoing improvements of current processes and procedures In return this client offers competitive salaries and a fantastic benefits package. About You We are looking for: Strong SAS Platform and SAS Grid Administration experience on large scale platforms in production environments, Comprehensive knowledge of UNIX OS and scripting Experience of installation, configuration and support of SAS9.2 and later releases Ability to investigate root cause of issues with minimal guidance Relevant industry standard toolsets and processes to improve customer service within an IT environment Knowledge of one or more of the following Service Management disciplines: Incident Problem Change IT Continuity Capacity Next Steps If you think you are a good match to this role, please submit your CV and I will be in touch shortly.
