We have an exciting opportunity for an D Grade Staff Nurse to join our Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery Unit on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract. This role is located at The London Clinic's Duchess of Devonshire building based in Central London, W1G 6JA (Close to Baker Street & Regents Park tube stations). Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest independently owned non-profit hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. We have circa 1200 employees, a total of 8 premises, and we are dedicated to providing the best, personalised healthcare with a breadth of surgical and medical expertise. Our main hospital site spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres. Our Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery Unit comprises of 17 rooms all with en-suite facilities. We provide surgical care to patients with a range of diagnostics from the different specialties, including Plastics and Reconstructive, Breast Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Inpatient ENT and Ophthalmology as well as Investigative Procedures. Job Description As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and service to the patients. Job Type: This is a full-time, 12 months fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week. Day shifts include including alternate Weekends (Mix of Long days 7:45am to 8:15pm / Early 7.45am to 4pm / Late 12pm to 8:15pm). Salary: The attractive salary range for this role is £33,697 - £36,410 (Inclusive of London Weighting), and will be dependent upon skills and experience. To adopt a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach to patients with Plastic and Reconstructive care needs and breast care management. Encourage good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, and promote safe practice and professional conduct. Promote research based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit where appropriate. Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and to be aware of the legal implications of these documents. Skills & Experience Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin. Post registration surgical and/or medical experience. Knowledge of acute nursing and Clinical Governance. Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritise own workload effectively and work as part of a team. To be articulate enthusiastic and flexible with a positive and adaptable approach to change.
