Overview

This top10 professional services firm is looking for a tenacious and entreprenrial individual to establish and develop a Special Projects function in Scotland. There is no doubting the heavy business development focus of the role – the successful individual will be building relationships and carrying out key account management of current, previous and target clients You will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the regional operation, leading on the operational strategy for the region and developing the wider national strategy. Building your own brand alongside that of the firm’s in the market will be pivotal to the role hence you will be involved in hosting, speaking at and attending relevant events, and proactively seeking to understand the regional market. The team you will be directing will be working with all sizes of business, from small owner managed to large listed and international groups which will deliver a huge array of accounting projects including but not limited to: Interim finance roles on a secondment basis Integrated financial forecasting Making improvements to internal management accounts and monthly reporting Project management and liaison Year end accounting support Tailoring reports e.g business review for a funding application Quarterly business reviews and reporting thereon Supporting clients during a transaction with hands on compliance and/or advisory work that meets and exceeds client expectations e.g. compiling due diligence information Applicants must be fully qualified (ACA or equivalent) with a background in accounts production and financial reporting but crucially be tenacious with a passion for relationship building and market development (ability to identify potential opportunities, develop relationships and deliver results for clients). Existing market knowledge of the region would clearly be highly beneficial. This represents a unique opportunity for someone to lead and build a function within a leading global professional services organisation.
