Overview
Our client is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Operative to join the South West team completing PPM and Reactive works across various offices. The ideal skill set will be multi skilled and able to put a hand to basic electrics, plumbing and fabric works. Client Details Our client are a well known building and construction business in the UK. This opportunity is working directly for the business carrying out maintenance to branches and office spaces. Description The Facilities Maintenance Operative will need to be based in Bristol and have a full driving licence: The duties are: Working with suited locking systems, both mechanical and electronic Working with windows and door repairs Basic plastering (patch repairs), Domestic Plumbing, Carpentry & Joinery Like for like electrical changes Fault finding and rectifying Planned inspections, including the completion of remedial works identified Responding and attending to maintenance and Health & Safety related calls within the required time scales Capturing all maintenance issues identified and where possible rectifying during site visits Ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of materials Providing maintenance and support in emergencies Ensuring all serious incidents are escalated to line buildings Reporting to the Head of Property and Assets you will have strong technical knowledge across all areas of property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing and carpentry, with previous multi-trade experience within domestic and commercial buildings. Profile The Facilities Maintenance Operative in Bristol will work on a mobile basis, so a van is provided. A proven track record working in Building and Construction maintenance with electrical, plumbing or carpentry qualifications Due to the nature of the work, you will need to have a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant Health and Safety and property compliance legislation, whilst being adept at managing your own time and making sure internal customers, colleagues and third party suppliers are communicated with in a timely and appropriate manner. Regular travel to offices & branches across the South West will be necessary to carry out maintenance tasks, inspections and produce reports on your findings, including recommendations for repair or improvements.
