Modis are proud to be am working alongside a world class organisation in Nottingham City Centre on their search for a Lead Java engineer to come in and join a newly formed development outfit focusing on delivering API capabilities across an enterprise scale suite of products My client are a really successful organisation with a global presence - they have offices all over the world. They develop a range of market leading intelligence products for a truly enviable client portfolio across an array of industries and are innovators within their sector. They have an established tech hub here in Nottingham City Centre and have built a team of highly intelligent and extremely capable Engineers spanning multiple tech stacks. They are in the midst of some really exciting changes with plans to recruit a lot of new blood into their software development teams. Technically, you will be a Java Development expert and have a solid understanding of Rest API design standards and best practice. You will have a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, complex distributed systems. This is a lead role, so you'll ideally have lead teams in the past and bring the ability to provide mentoring and coaching to the wider team. These guys are looking for Lead engineers with a real empowerment and a focus on autonomy. You will be able to solve technical complex problems and have the ability not only to talk freely about your development skills but how you go about solving issues. As Lead Engineer you will take responsibility for motivating and developing your team whilst constantly inspiring better ways of working. I'm looking for an advocate of Agile too as you will be required to lead Sprint teams.
