Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer Duration: Permanent / Contract Location:Edinburgh Positions: Multiple Job Responsibilities Will vary depending on level of experience, but main responsibilities may include: o Capture the Radar or Electro-optics system design as system requirements o Allocate system level requirements to sub-systems based on the system architecture o Requirements capture/management using DOORS o Support the implementation of system level requirements o Collaboration with software and hardware teams to define efficient implementations and optimisations of the radar design o Definition of System interface requirements Skills, Qualifications and Experience required Mandatory o 2:1 honours degree or better in a relevant STEM-based subject o Systems design experience of complex, high-reliability systems (ideally RF/ Radar or Electro-optics systems) o Experience of system/ sub-system level requirements definition o Experience of system/ sub-system level interface definition o Experience of Requirements Engineering and/ or management o Ability to generate clear, concise and testable requirements o Previous experience of Requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS (preferred), Jama, Enterprise Architect, etc o Experience of working in multi-disciplined Engineering teams o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Desirable o Previous experience of RF/ Radar or Electro-optics systems design o Generation of system/ sub-system architectures o Modelling components of the System design using Matlab/ Simulink o MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) o Experience of defining verification methods for systems/ sub-systems requirements and establishing traceability of requirements o Experience of Verification Matrix definition Qualifications o 2:1 or better Honours degree (BSc/ BEng/ MSc/ MEng) o UK/ EU citizenship is mandatory to be able to clear the background checks and obtain SC clearance o Current valid SC clearance would be an advantage This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89938907
