Continuous Improvement Specialist Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire Up to £60,000 benefits Our client is a leading provider of specialist meat-packing services, supplying food retailers in Europe and internationally. They now seeking a forward-thinking and results driven Continuous Improvement Specialist to join them to be responsible for driving down waste output and in turn improving profitability and efficiency. Using your ability to work cross-functionally along with your proactive outlook and outcome orientated mindset, you will engage all site teams to identify and deliver improvements to increase performance and plant reliability in line with factory targets. By engaging production teams and delivering coaching of continuous improvement, lean and operational excellence tools and techniques, you will drive targeted improvements within this fast-moving manufacturing environment, ensuring best practices are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage and facilitate operational excellence in line with the facility’s continuous improvement goals and aspirations, engaging all areas of the business. Showcase the effectiveness and success of continuous improvement activities, engaging and developing teams to “follow-suit” in order to deliver increased performance, specifically in the reduction of waste. Organise and hold team meetings to discuss issues, potentially allocating responsibilities and therefore identifying skill gaps, developing and implementing individual training plans. Prepare and present data reporting on manufacturing performance, monitoring achievement against production targets and KPIs. Key Skills: Proven experience of delivering continuous improvement activities. Previous experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred). Target focussed with expert in leading, facilitating and problem solving to root cause analysis. Strong leadership and coaching skills.
