Network and Security Engineer 6-month FTC Salary £35 - £40k Pro Rata plus benefits Based London The Role: Network and Security Engineer - IT Operations / Infrastructure - Windows Operating Systems / VMWare / DNS / DHCP / LAN / WAN / Cisco / Firewalls. An experienced Network and Security Engineer required to join the team. This is a prime opportunity during a time of IT transformation to drive new technology solutions into service at the same time as maintaining the review, development and definition of security protocols and policies. Work with IT Management and in collaboration with the Business on key activities and projects. Participate in infrastructure reviews, define, create and maintain policy and system documentation of Server Systems, Networking and Security technology standards, processes to support BAU and compliance activities. Feed into project requirements, understanding business drivers, assisting translation of business requirements into appropriate solutions. Work closely with colleagues, IT management, other areas of the business and external partners to continually deliver opportunities for improvements. Review the infrastructure and make recommendations on securing network, devices and users Provide network and security consultation to the business whilst also working closely with the IT Manager. Use previous experience to maintain the VMWare environment and maintain and configure. Cisco Firewall and Switches. The Person: You will have the following knowledge and experience: Hands on experience of configuring, supporting, maintaining and securing systems across multiple diverse technology standards across enterprise IT operations including (but not limited to) AD, Office 365, Linux, MS SQL Server, Citrix, WIFI, switches/routers, email and security systems. Demonstrable experience of working with third-party supplier and operational services teams. Experience of working with servers, networks and firewalls. 2 years configuration and support of windows O/S, VMWare, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VPN, AD, Cisco Networks, firewalls and switches. Maintain corporate ISO27001 IT accreditation. Business Analysis and Project Management skills.
