SPECIALIST HIGHWAYS TECHNICAL ADVISOR Hampshire To start in April with an initial 12 month contract “Are you looking for an opportunity to secure work for the next 5 years on an exciting Transportation Framework across Highways, Rail, Costal civil and structural engineering works?” The Company and the role Ganymede are currently working in partnership with a large local authority based across Hampshire to deliver an exciting five year £500m Transportation framework across many areas of Civil and Structural Engineering within sectors such as Rail, Highways, Marine and more. Projects will range from a few hundred thousand in value up to £150,000,000 so this long term opportunity is sure to provide you with a vast amount of experience as well as an exciting work life given the scale of the projects you will be involved in. The Role of a Specialist Highways Technical Advisor As a Specialist Highways Technical Advisor, you will be expected to support the delivery of carriageway resurfacing through the annual Planned Maintenance Programme, produce, maintain and update guidance documents on surfacing options, provide technical support and assist with the business development plan. You will be expected to provide expert advice and assist with technical solutions to identify causes of highway failures and produce engineering solutions in accordance with current standards. The Requirements For the position of Specialist Highways Technical Advisor, you will need to hold a certain level of qualification to fulfil the requirements of the job, so I’d be really interested in speaking with you if you hold either a HNC/HND, NVQ, Degree, or similar within Civil Engineering and Construction. You will be expected to have extensive construction experience, particularly within the areas of pavement construction and materials, the ability to communicate complex information effectively with engineering professionals, senior management, members, stakeholders and the public when required.
