Overview
Our client is a London-based Private Equity firm that, since its inception in the past decade, has seen excellent growth. They are extremely well-funded and the founding team are very high calibre have worked together for many years. This is a newly created position in their Group Finance team that will be a direct support to an experienced Head of Finance. The appointee will be responsible for their outsourced corporate accounting function, with support from a junior accountant. There will be a lot of exposure to the firm's budget and forecasting processes and scope to learn in a managerial role. Previous exposure to Private Equity is not essential for this position, however experience in a finance function within the wider Financial Services space (Asset Management/Banking/Insurance) and familiarity with the area is highly desirable. Responsibilities: Oversight of and support with updating financial accounting records for group operating companies. Preparing the monthly group MIS including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other supporting information. Supporting the Group’s planning, budget and semi-annual reforecast process. Continuous improvement of finance processes including development of process notes and policy documents. Assist with other accounting projects as required including the upgrade of finance systems during 2020 and 2021. Performing ad hoc financial analyses and deep dive reviews as required by Management. Skills: ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with at least 2 years post-qualified experience in industry. May also look at practice if the experience is FS audit.
