We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance department located at our Administration Building in Central London, NW1 4LJ. The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest independently owned non-profit hospital, and we have been providing exceptional care since 1932. We have 8 premises, where we perform highly complex procedures as well as routine surgery & medicine. Our Finance Department work across our hospital to develop finance processes and systems that are effective, efficient and support our employees to provide a great patient experience. The Finance Team also play an important role in helping our Executive Board and Trustees to make financial decisions about reinvesting our income into improving patient care. Job Profile: As Commercial Finance Analyst you will be responsible for assisting the Commercial Finance team in providing incisive, value-add financial information to allow the Commercial Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager and Board to achieve their financial targets. Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: The role offers a competitive salary which will be dependent upon skills and experience. Duties & Responsibilities Providing clear, consistent financial information with insightful analysis and commentary on a range of financial issues, including: Pricing, costing, profitability and activity analysis Post investment and decision making reviews Business case development and analysis Financial modelling Dashboard development Payor contract analysis Supporting the creation of business cases and the development of new services across the Clinic Supporting month end close down and performance reporting. Review of actual monthly performance against prior year, forecast and budget. Preparing strong variance / bridge analysis, identifying key trends with commentary as required. Skills & Experience • Likely to be Part Qualified or with strong experience in financial analysis • Likely to be educated to degree level • Health care industry experience highly desirable • Commercial industry experience highly desirable • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Power Point and general IT skills • Familiarity with SQL and/or Microsoft Access would be useful but not essential. • Able to present financial information to a diverse, non-financial audience We are an organisation that has charitable status and this helps us to drive forward our mission of reinvesting our income to deliver better patient outcomes.
