Overview

The role is for the London office of an established and well-known Advertising Agency with a worldwide reputation for strategic and creative excellence. The Group is based in 3 countries in Europe, with headquarters in London. Over the past year it has made a number of important appointments to build the right team to take the business to the next level. This appointment is part of this process and the successful candidate will be a key member of the London management board and will work closely with the London Chief Exec, London MD and Group CFO to enable the business to meet its performance targets. The role: Working with managing partners and business directors to drive revenue and performance Monthly reporting and presentation of client profitability Client contractual matters, including contract compliance Client fee negotiations and regular reconciliations Financial accounting and reporting for the UK business, including production of statutory accounts and supporting audit file Monthly reporting and presentation to the London Board including performance analysis against plan and KPIs Preparation, monitoring and updating of budgets and forecasts, including the agency's staffing plan Develop and manage a capable, efficient finance team to deliver the support the growing business needs, through training, motivation and recruitment Improve and enforce operational and internal control procedures Treasury and cash management Tax compliance To undertake other duties as required by the Group CFO and CEO from time to time The person: Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA Accountant Experience of a client-facing environment such as marketing communications or management consultancy Experience of an owner managed business Proactive, ability to initiate and implement change Demonstrable experience of leading and transforming teams Excellent systems and technology knowledge in particular strong Excel skills and the ability to develop and integrate accounting and other systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Performance and results-driven and able to work from desired outcomes to determine required actions.
