Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chemical Engineer to join Tata Chemicals Europe's highly successful and unique Energy team. The candidate will join the Energy Business team in delivering its 5 year plan and develop new areas of growth. The job holder will undertake a range of activities and will have a number of responsibilities in a fast growing and interesting area of the business. The team whilst small in number is high performing and as such the role holder should be able to demonstrate they are agile and show initiative and curiosity, all with a strong emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement. The roles accountabilities include the careful monitoring and improvement of all aspects of plant performance and as such will work very closely with other EBU team members and third party contractors. The type of person we want is someone who relishes being part of a team, is happy to take on responsibility and eager to make their mark. Key accountabilities include: Using core Chemical Engineering and innovation skills Energy modelling reviewing how the energy market impacts our business Collaborating with our technical manager on CHP performance Engineering and problem solving for new services Collaboration with other team members in our smart data platform Required Chemical Engineering degree of 2:1 or above 1-2 years of experience in Chemical Engineering Desirable Power station or CHP knowledge Understanding of energy systems Tata Behaviours essential for the role Functional excellence, Drive for results, taking ownership, customer focus, innovation, collaboration.
