Overview

1. Purpose To support the Financial Crime Unit, in delivering its primary objective namely: to manage internal and external financial crime exposures across the MS Amlin business and its network of offices. 2. Dimensions The Financial Crime Analyst (FCA) is part of the Compliance function and reports to the Compliance Manager - Financial Crime. The FCA works closely with the business to achieve a consistent approach to financial crime controls, seeking to apply best practice whilst being sympathetic to local legal and regulatory expectations. FCAs assist the Compliance Manager - Financial Crime in:  supporting the business in executing Customer Due Diligence processes  developing policy and process around financial crime topics;  supporting the operation of the group’s Financial Crime Committee (FCC) by o providing assistance in financial crime related projects e.g. financial crime screening tooling review o production of MI to be reported to the FCC; and o promoting the FCU as a centre of excellence for financial crime matters to the business  develop skills to be able to handle financial crime related queries from the business  monitoring trends in financial crime regulation. 3. Key Result Areas  Obtaining information on end clients / insureds through the broker (e.g. UBO-forms, Directors and Chamber of Commerce information, where required).  Assisting in assessing documentation relating to financial crime topics and ensuring these remain up-to-date and are appropriately communicated to the business.  Assisting in developing a suite of financial crime MI to be submitted to the FCC.  Act as first point of contact to Underwriters, Claims handlers and other stakeholders on all financial crime related matters.  Assisting in horizon scanning for changes in financial crime legislation / regulation as they apply to MS Amlin entities.  Assist in preparing guidance to the business to communicate changes in financial crime legislation / regulation. 4. The Operating Environment and Context of the Job MS Amlin operates its international insurance and reinsurance business through a number of regulated insurance and reinsurance carriers and intermediaries worldwide. The financial crime team is part of the wider Compliance function 5.
