Overview

Lead Java Developer I have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Java Developer for an innovative global solutions provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and deploying new features for a new generation, client facing trading platform. This role is a key technical delivery position working with both internal development teams as well as key contacts within the client's development organisation. This individual will also be tasked with determining simpler, more automated ways of deploying and delivering solutions to increase ease of configuration and improve productivity for users. Principal Duties And Responsibilities Design, implement and deploy new features and initiatives from start to finish Work with product managers to flush out requirements and designer to finalise user interface and user experience Help define and drive architectural designs and coding guidelines Develop and maintain microservices deployed on the cloud Communicate and work effectively with remote members and teams Knowledge, Skills And Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred Minimum years of work experience: 5 years Required Skills Develop and maintain complex client facing web application Advanced level Java or other object-oriented language like C#, Typescript, etc Intermediate level SQL expertise Architecting, designing, implementing, and consuming REST API AWS or similar cloud technology like Azure, GCP etc Structured coding practices such as TDD, BDD Preferred Skills Ability to oversee and lead the server side development Working knowledge of Scala Experience with cloud containers such as Kubernetes Intermediate level JavaScript expertise Experience with security, performance, monitoring, and authentication of client facing REST API Experience with writing unit test using JUnit and Jasmine, and Protractor or equivalent Experience with HTML, CSS, LESS/SASS Experience with Agile and Scrum in a CI/CD project COVID -19 INFORMATION: Fully remote interview process Remote on-boarding 100% remote work during government special measures Additional Information My client offers a compelling and rewarding work environment.
