Overview
Job Title: Joinery Estimator Location: Stockbridge, Hampshire Salary: £45000 Summary of Position: Our client, a high quality bespoke joinery, are looking for a Joinery Estimator to join their team. The Joinery Estimator will be an experienced candidate, who will be expected to provide a professional estimating service which maximises the opportunity to secure new business. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Providing competitive estimates for bespoke joinery supply and install packages Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project/enquiry Liaising with the Sales, Marketing and Estimating Team during the tender process Producing sub-contract and material enquires for bespoke joinery Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations Checking tender documents, making amendments where required Abstracting information into subcontract and material packages Identifying scope for design alternatives and value engineering Attending site surveys when required by the Pre-Contracts Director Skills, Experience: Competent computer user, including MS Word A good understanding of the manufacturing process. Must be competent in literacy and numeracy, in particular the ability to interpret data and use spreadsheets Must possess a clean driving licence Key Candidate Attributes: Able to work in a high pressure and time constrained industry Can-do attitude and approach Able to listen and have good communication skills Be prepared to work using their own initiative and take responsibility for their role and be accountable Work well as a team player and has a sense of humour Ability to make a good cup of tea ??
