Overview
Credit control or student fees officer. Experience of working at a university The postholder is responsible for the collection of income from tuition fees and for goods & services provided to external organisations. The primary purpose of the role is to assist the team leader with ensuring that cash inflows from the collection of external income are optimised and that the scope for bad debts is minimised. The postholder is also expected to assist with ensuring that all income collection transactions are processed and accounted for in a controlled, timely, efficient and auditable manner in accordance with Financial and Student Regulations, taxation rules and relevant legislation . Operation of effective income collection systems and processes to ensure that cash inflows are optimised and bad debts minimised. - Liaise with other University departments and external organisations to ensure effective income collection. - Ensure that all customers are dealt with in accordance with best customer care and credit control practice. - Assist with production of performance monitoring, financial control and management information on a regular basis. - Keep abreast of changes to legislation on income collection and the student tuition fee regime.
