Overview
We are recruiting enthusiastic and caring people to join our team at a vibrant supported living service in South Shields. Simonside Court is a bustling independent supported living service for 17 adults with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities and mental health needs. Working within a dedicated staff team, you will support tenants to maintain and develop their independence, engage with the community and support them in identifying and achieving ambitions. Tenants at Simonside Court participate in a diverse range of activities and interests including accessing college, work, creative workshops and health activities. You will be a key part of ensuring tenants continue to have access to opportunities and live healthy and fulfilling lives. The service also has a large communal area where tenants enjoy games, crafts, film nights, pool competitions, karaoke nights and social events. You will have the opportunity to give your input and work with tenants to develop these activities, and to ensure that the service is a warm and welcoming environment. This exciting role offers unique opportunities and great job satisfaction. Creative Support provides high-quality training, including accredited health and social care diplomas. You will be required to work in a flexible manner on a rota which includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
