Overview

Position Title:- Quality Control Technician Location :- Milton Keynes Salary : Up to £25,000 depending on experience Company Profile:- Our Client are a long established adhesive experts. They cover the entire value chain and enable customer-focused solutions. Our Client is one of the pioneering forces in adhesive tape technology and is now active on a global scale. Purpose and scope of the Role:- To support the quality department in testing and documentation Education, Training IMDS training provided - initially 1 to 2 days training offsite. OGP training provided - internal training 2 -3 weeks PPAP training including FMEA Capability studies, PPAP on the job training as and when Automotive Projects come though. Sigma Training- Initial training in control charts with full green belt training in first 6 months. Needed Competencies and Skills. • Mechanical and technical aptitude and able to read technical drawings (OGP programming / IMDS) • Working Knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint. • Attention to detail (documentation) • Able to converse with operators and managers and understand the requirements • Willing to learn and want to develop a career in quality • Good communication skills both orally and written. Core Tasks and Allocation of Time:- • Projects 50% Writing and running OGP programmes. QC checks and process control including capability studies. Raising internal non-conformances. RFT updates and reports. • 10% Attend NPI meetings to define quality requirements and feedback results. • 20% IMDS / PPAP and other validation protocols • 10% Support change management documentation • 10% Job Wallet QC updates, Production Support Impact on business results (value Added):- • Measuring process capabilities and identifying non - conformances • Freeing up the time of the QM for root cause investigation work. • KPI affected - RFT and Customer complaints. Complexity:- • Creativity and freedom to act as well as most relevant interfaces • Interface with the production. QC will need to make decisions based on problem priorities.
