Quality Improvement Manager
Overview
Job Description
Are you passionate about quality and change? Are you looking to get out of an office, roll up your sleeves and work directly with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels? The role of the QI & Manager may be what you are looking for. We are a large NHS trust providing acute care and services within both community settings and people's homes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly formed QI & Transformation Team from the merger of existing teams and be part of an ambitious quality improvement and change programme. There are no boundaries to what you could achieve, and you will have the opportunity to shape the programme and your own role as it develops with many opportunities for collaboration and getting involved in quality improvement and transformation projects across the Trust. Whilst there will be a project management element to the position, we are particularly looking for an individual with an interest and experience in quality improvement who will be able to plan and coordinate the training programmes to build capability within the organisation. We believe that sustainable change is best driven by the staff who deliver care, and you will help build their talent to achieve this particularly through supporting the roll out of improvement huddles. As a Trust we have adopted the Quality, Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) methodology; it is therefore desirable that you are trained in this but more important is that you have skills and experience of using QI methodologies. A positive, flexible style and approach is necessary along with excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills in this rewarding role as this is a trust wide position whereby you will be working internally and externally with a range of stakeholders. Along with our outstanding Organisational Development Team, we will ensure you have the training, mentoring and support to achieve success and maximise your own career potential. We are a diverse employer and open to flexible working. Please note that this role covers all areas across BHT and you will need to be able to travel between them The post holder will be based at Stoke Mandeville (tbc).
