Job Description: Own and lead on management and commercial and strategic support of key contracts in a highly dynamic and complex managed services delivery environment, as well as supporting sales organisation on new opportunities. This role is fundamental to Motorola’s major UK projects, supporting both the commercial strategy as well as in- project delivery. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Contract management of ongoing contracts: Commercially responsible for customer and contract management on key government contracts. Develop and lead commercial strategy to compliment operational and delivery requirements, managing cost increases, customer compliance and performance to ensure profitability of the account is maintained. Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction for the purpose of safeguarding the longer term customer relationship. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders (delivery, finance, legal, operations etc.) at all levels of Motorola. Managing customer disputes/ contractual dispute resolution process. Maintain supplier risk management, monitoring external risks and putting in place contingency and mitigation plans. Briefing of relevant business stakeholders regarding contractual obligations and ensuring that these are managed appropriately, while providing timely commercial and contractual advice during the contract life time. Presenting at governance boards and senior leadership reviews on customer strategy and approach. Driving and delivering process improvement to enhance all elements of the delivery including on policies, process and systems. Liaising with Finance to ensure appropriate, timely and successful financial management of contracts, including reviewing/validating spend forecasts and developing savings strategies. Working with Motorola legal functions to manage legal matters such as TUPE, IP, Bribery and Corruption Act, Freedom of Information etc. Drafting and negotiating changes and extensions to existing contracts. Support of new sales opportunities: Review of terms and conditions and advising on key commercial and legal risk, liaising with subject matter experts where necessary. Drafting and commercial negotiation and providing commercial support at customer meetings. Understanding the sales proposition and how it supports overall business strategy for the purpose of advising on commercial strategy for the submission of a successful bid/sale. Assisting internal governance processes. Basic Requirements Core Competencies: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience of working with central UK government departments and contracts. Contract experience in the Telecommunications / IT services industry is an advantage. Experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements with customers and suppliers. Experience of delivery of complex technology and infrastructure projects. Good communications and interpersonal skills; ability to establish rapport, influence and develop relationships with all key stakeholders, customers and colleagues, as well as being credible and comfortable dealing with and chairing formal meetings with senior stakeholders and customer governance meetings. Aptitude for technology and excellent written and verbal communications skills, including commercial and contractual analysis and drafting. Self-driven, results-oriented commercially astute leader with a clear focus on achievement within defined deadlines and with excellent financial and administrative acumen. Well-presented and professional. Sufficiently flexible to travel up to a few days a month within the UK.
