Overview

Senior Financial Analyst required for our client, a global business, based in PADDINGTON . JOB DESCRIPTION UK corporate controlling (UKCC) team is the key finance contact for the Group's corporate and brand functions based in the UK. The financial analyst of this area will be mainly responsible for the financial management of brand fees and providing support to the Finance Manager in day to day financial management of UK support Functions (IT, HR, Central operations) and intellectual property legal team. Brand fees are contractually binding royalty fees, charged to all companies that are using the brand all around the world. Financial analyst is the first point of contact for all companies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES COMPANY support functions: Working with head of finance and operational managers in setting up budgets. Approving PO's according to the budgets set and ensuring the spending is within budget limits. Preparation and booking of required month end accruals. All required analysis, control and reporting for actuals and budget phases. COMPANY brand team: Financial management of COMPANY corporate media campaigns reimbursement process and sponsorships. Working with head of finance, brand financial controller in France and operational managers in setting up budgets. Approving PO's according to the budgets set and ensuring the spending is within budget limits. Preparation and booking of required month end accruals/prepayments. All required analysis, control and reporting for actuals and budget phases. Management of budget process: Financial controllers of each line of business who are based in Europe are responsible for the submission of the budget for their areas. Senior financial analyst's responsibility is making sure COMPANY has a sound budget overall and liaising with the financial controllers where necessary. Preparation of labour opex automatic calculation assumptions to be implemented to the systems by central controlling in Europe. Making sure headcount numbers submitted to the systems by European HR are correct. Responsible for the submission of the budgets of two holding entities Calculation of the recharges from COMPANY to its parent Working with PWC to calculate tax budget. COMPANY: Preparation of monthly organic cash flow (OCF). Preparation of monthly analysis report. Supporting head of finance on the preparation of quarterly COMPANY board packs. Supporting head of finance on the preparation of senior accounting officer documents to HMRC. Helping with yearly audit process. Any other ad-hoc queries. Supervision to financial analyst on his daily tasks: Ensuring brand (royalty) fees are accountant and invoiced correctly. Ensuring brand (royalty) fees are budgeted and submitted to the systems correctly. Ensuring Brand Intellectual Property Legal team actuals and budget are correct. Helping with any other ad-hoc queries where necessary. Supervision to accounting team: Ensuring COMPANY accounts and balance sheet reconciliations are prepared correctly. Ensuring tax is calculated and recorded correctly, payments to HMRC are made in time. Ensuring VAT returns are calculated correctly and submission deadlines are met. Ensuring all other tasks are completed accurately and deadlines are met. REQUIREMENTS: Essential to the job: At least Part Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) 5 years experience in finance, strategy, consulting and/or related functions Experienced in preparing detailed analysis to make financial decisions Accounting and controlling experience within a large company Advanced Microsoft office skills especially Excel Taste for detail Desirable: French language skills (writing and oral) Experienced with Magnitude citrix financial application Experienced with Horizon (with Excel add-in) reporting tool or any other ERP tools. Experienced with Oracle.
