Overview
Our client is a international supplier of fruits based in Normanton and they are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Assistants to join their team. This is temporary to permanent position. Hours of work are 6.45am – 4.00pm . There are different shifts patterns available, e.g. Sunday - Thursday, Tuesday - Saturday with the possibility of working additional days and hours when business levels demand. Main duties will involve: ·Ensure product meets specification and Food Safety objectives are met company policies and procedures ·Ensure quality standards are met for the company’s customers by following customer specifications reporting non-conformances to the QA Manager ·Check box and box end labels print and markings for clarity and correctness to ensure all packaging specifications are met and document findings ·Daily completion of paperwork ·Assist with the with the enforcement of all Food Safety Programs (GMPs, BRC, Organic and other) ·Assist Line Supervisors with the development, coaching and support of packing staff ·Complete all reports as and when required (vermin reports, rejection reports, reporting of correct data to customs on test weights, organised and systematic filing of records, ARI reports) Starting rate is going to be £8.21 per hour, going up to £9.10 after successful completion of the 3 month training period.
