Overview

Our client is looking for a Head of Group Reporting to join their team for a 11-month term covering maternity leave. The role will support the Group Controller ensuring the delivery of the audit, statutory and management reporting and the Tax and Treasury reporting. The role will also control the Central Function overheads managing the relationships with the SLT and being an active member on various Executive level meetings. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and expert knowledge in Group finance on all aspects of accounting, including compliance, reporting, investigations, audits and disclosures Deliver appropriate financial analysis, ensuring that the accounting judgements made by the business units are appropriate and in accordance with the Group accounting policies. Member of the Corporate Finance Committee ensuring that the Group's resources are invested appropriately Reporting of all financial information to the Group Board on a monthly basis. Assisting with the annual Group budget and strategy processes Oversee the preparation of the Group statutory accounts. Ensure that the finance team is up to date with potential changes with accounting standards and identifying relative impacts Contribute to the effective financial management of the Group, including Development and enhancement of the financial recording and reporting systems and review of the adequacy of the control environment in Group Finance. Support the CFO, Group FC and others in delivering project work (e.g. accounting impacts in investment cases, ensuring that the Group systems are configured to support compliance efforts) and provide adhoc advice and assistance to non-UK businesses as required. Ensure the treasury position of the Group is maximised and properly controlled. This includes both long term and short-term compliance. The successful candidate will have strong experience of leading group reporting within a large complex business, group audit management experience and a general knowledge of tax and treasury. Large team management experience and being a fully qualified Accountant are also essential for the role.
