About the Job An excellent overseas job opportunity has arisen in the Middle East with one of our key clients in the Aerospace & Defence sector. We are searching for a highly skilled Commercial Manager to support our customer, based in the Middle East . About the Employer Our client has a well-established overseas presence where they have developed a reputation for working closely with local partners to support economic development by transferring knowledge, skills and technology to add value and capability. Our client operates as a prime contractor under a Government to Government arrangement which is in place to provide equipment, support and training to the customer based in the Middle East . Key Responsibilities If you are a candidate currently in search of overseas jobs or have previously considered working in the Middle East, then this role will potentially provide a great opportunity to take the leap with a well-established and respected Aerospace & Defence business. As Commercial Manager , you will be responsible for carrying out and supervising all procurement transactions within the business. You will negotiate directly with contractors/subcontractors, as well as supporting the team with any issues, to the point of resolution. In your position as Commercial Manager you will ensure all contracts are legally agreed in line with company policy. Maximum business success will be maintained through your financial acumen and effective management of costs. With your first-class technical commercial expertise, you will provide leadership to your team in delivering the highest standard of work and as Commercial Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all Export Control processes are fully-compliant at all times. You will deliver relevant Export Control Training to staff as appropriate. As you would expect for a position of this nature, you will need to be able to demonstrate good cultural awareness and diplomacy to ensure that communications are crystal clear to maximise operational readiness and ensure safety critical issues are managed effectively and efficiently. About the Person The ideal candidate will ideally be educated with a relevant degree, as well as having extensive complex commercial experience dealing with both domestic and international suppliers. You will be able to demonstrate a proven record of successful negotiation of contracts including the management of contractual issues. It is essential that you are experienced in ITAR regulations and are able to ensure Export Control compliance at a supervisory level - with a skill level of 3-4. To succeed in the position of Commercial Manager you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading a commercial team within a complex matrix environment. Whilst it isn’t essential for succeeding in overseas jobs, it would be a distinct advantage if you have previous experience of working in the aerospace & defence sector in a Middle East country.
