Overview
My client is an established company based in Kingston area. They are currently looking for Fully Qualified Management Accountant to join their Finance team. They are actively looking for a management accountant who will be tasked with driving improvements and to support the close-knit finance team. Areas of Responsibility: Generate all management accounts, budgets, forecasts and other information generated by the management accounting team Team management Including AP, AR & Projects Reviewing data entered in Sage/other accounting system Regular Balance Sheet reconciliation Proper coding of the invoices Assisting them with their time and accurate reporting of their data and putting in place new reports improving the accuracy and visibility for the management Provide team detailed Accounting treatment on new items Prepare VAT returns Carry our necessary reconciliations and adjustments and submit to HMRC Lead process improvements across the Finance function improving accuracy, speed and completeness Master existing processes and systems and then improve controls and processes Create manuals for all tasks within the Finance function The Successful candidate must have: ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified accountant Previous work in the Construction industry would be advantageous Experience of project accounting Worked in fast paced environment Good financial modelling skills Detailed monthly reporting Excellent understanding of Financial Statements and accounting principles Excellent knowledge of Excel (Heavily used in the business at advanced level. Most reporting is done in Excel) Knowledge of Sage is essential. Alternatively, excellent understanding of accounting systems and ability to learn quickly (Cash4Windows, Workflow) If you match the specification and would like to be considered for the role, please apply today.
