Systems Test Analyst – based in Edinburgh Paying up to £40,000 depending on experience plus fantastic benefits including 2 different pension schemes, Private Medical Insurance, 4 x Salary Life Assurance, Income Protection and Discretionary Bonus A growing yet well established investment management firm with offices in Edinburgh is looking to hire a Systems Test Analyst to provide day to day support to meet the Systems Test Team objectives. You’ll provide expert test guidance, support and delivery to the business, development and support functions throughout the lifecycle of their software solutions. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed test preparation through the creation of test plans/ scenarios, scripts and cases using industry best practice techniques. Execute tests, and where required, ensure tests are executed as per preparation, employing industry best practise techniques (including automation where appropriate). Create, maintain and communicate clear, concise Test Level progress metrics, progress reports and completion reports. Conduct verification and validation of test planning and execution including: Integration / SystemIntegration. System Test (Functional and Non Functional). Provide day to day support and guidance in test principles, techniques and tools to other Test Team members. Create opportunities to increases efficiency, consistency and value of testing. Skills: In-depth knowledge of the delivery lifecycle. Ability to interact with Business and Project Managers. Ability to interact with Technical staff. Creation and management of Test artefacts (plans, scripts etc.). Defect Management. Test Execution. Test Performance Metrics. Automated Test Tools skills are desirable. Knowledge: Intermediate SQL skills are essential Structured project / development management methods Visual Studio Team Edition for Testers Non-Functional Testing Agile Testing Ability to articulate Environment requirements Qualifications: Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience ISEB Foundation is an advantage If you’re an experienced System Test Analyst with the required skills and experience then please apply now.
