Location: Elstree, Borehamwood Salary: £26,000 Main duties and responsibilities: - To be responsible for assessing and treating all patients at Cornerstone House, using a range of approaches - To be responsible for ensuring that all patients at Cornerstone House take part in recovery planning and that recovery goals and programmes are regularly reviewed - To keep up to date with new treatment methods and be actively involved in research projects relating to mental health - To attend Multidisciplinary meetings, reviews, CPA's and case conferences as required - To evaluate treatment and keep accurate records maintaining high professional standards and complying with current legislation - To provide support and guidance for lower grades of staff and seeking advice from the Head of Therapies with complex cases where necessary to assist in the treatment of such cases. - To assist in maintaining high professional standards in clinical and professional matters, complying with the Code of Ethics as well as local and national policies - To be responsible for specific administrative duties allocated by the Head of Therapies, keeping relevant records of stock/statistics etc. - To be aware of responsibilities under current legislation - To encourage good communication with other disciplines keeping the Head of Therapies informed appropriately - To ensure security of the therapy rooms and its resources, in conjunction with all staff using its facilities - Be responsible to undertake line management supervision, appraisals, sickness & absence reviews, produce performance management frameworks & the necessary risk assessments for the allocated OTAs - To partake in the teaching of staff members in relation to OT, rehab and recovery - To adhere to the rules of confidentiality at all times - To produce accurate and professional reports for CPA meetings Must Haves - Degree or equivalent pre-registration award in occupational therapy - Current HCPC registration - Excellent organisation and time management skills - The ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Initiative and creativity - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Up to date knowledge of OT models and theories - Ability to reflect on and criticise own performance - Computer skills - Understanding and appreciation of CPD - An awareness of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) By applying for this role you accept the Recruiterlink terms and conditions that can be found on our website and agree to receive email notification of other suitable jobs This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89882292
