A fantastic opportunity is available for a an empathetic, communicative, and conscientious Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a well-established private hospital, that specialises in providing the highest quality of service to people with longstanding mental health problems. Based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, the successful Band 5 Occupational Therapist will join a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Psychiatry, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Nursing and Support, earning a salary of between £26,000 - £33,000 p/a DOE. The hospital service has 31 in-patient beds designated for restricted access or locked rehabilitation. It provides care and treatment for the full spectrum of mental health illnesses with all patients being funded by the NHS. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group treatment sessions following standardised procedures Writing Occupational Therapy plans Undertaking patients assessments Communicating with Senior Management, MDT and all hospital colleagues Supervision of junior staff will be part of To be considered for the role of Band 5 Occupational Therapist you must be emotionally intelligent and desire a career in Occupational Therapy. The successful applicant should have experience of working post qualification in mental health services. They should be a motivated and flexible team-player with an equal ability to work autonomously. In addition the following key skills and experience are essential: Must have a BSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy Must have a Current HCPC Registration Desirable: Experience of working in mental health settings Knowledge and/or experience of working with patients who have Schizophrenia, Psychosis, and/or Personality Disorders Experience in both individual OT work and in delivering OT groups Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management.
