Senior Medical Director UK & Europe Location: Berkshire Salary: Executive Benefits: Car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare JO-2002-446316 Only Medics are working with a global pharmaceutical business to bring on board a Physician to lead their successful and rich Rare Disease pipeline for the UK, Ireland & Nordic regions. Reporting directly into the VP Medical Affairs, you will be at the forefront of the pipeline, leading the team through the launches of several products as well as operating at a strategic level. This position is open to people looking to transition into an above country position or someone who is already operating at an above country level Requirements: Medically qualified and GMC registered Extensive leadership experience in Medical Affairs in the UK Final Signatory Experience within Rare Diseases is desirable (any experience in Oncology or Neurology would also be beneficial) Experience at European level is desirable and not essential Responsibilities will include: Providing strategic and operational leadership to the UK Medical Affairs function Inputting, adapting and influencing global, regional and country Medical Affairs strategy Managing and developing the UK Medical Affairs team Ensuring appropriate support for Marketing/Sales functions and operations Steering the European teams, designing, delivering and implementing regional initiatives, together with the commercial teams.
