Overview

Job Title: Regional Financial Controller Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer Job type: Permanent Our client is a multinational Metals, Mining and Engineering group headquartered in London with strategic hubs across Australia, Africa, Europe and North America. With a £8 billion turnover and employing 14,000 staff, they are looking to add to their ever growing team. The purpose of the role is to oversee business, commercial and financial control over the steel division that currently has a turnover of £2.5 billion. The Regional Financial Controller role will be based in Central London and the successful applicant will be one of the key members of the team reporting to the Divisional CFO. Key Responsibilities: Budgeting & Forecasting across the region Budgeting & Forecasting across the region Monthly closing of actual results Supporting senior managment in decision making with facts & figures Validating MBO targets & achievments Ensuring compliance with statutory requirments/Group Accounting policies Ensuring consistency of approach in reporting across clusters within the division Develop benchmarks across clusters and sites Support divisional CFO and management throughout finance management cycles Review operational KPI's - challenge target setting and varience analysis Through the Commercial Controlling Officer, to supporting the commercial operations from a financial control perspective Tracking of Management initiatives and their achievements Fixed cost evolution and driver for deviations TCOE, FTE & Productivity reporting Requirements: 10 years in business control and / or accounting, preferably in manufacturing environments Formal accounting or management accounting qualification Responsibility for budgeting and forecasting Direct experience in financial analysis and reporting Knowledge of designing and / or supporting implementation of systems which facilitate financial planning and analysis IT literate with skills in Excel Great attention to detail, strong analytical skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic & busy office environment being a part of a team Highly organised, able to prioritise and effective time management
