Job Title: Commercial Financial Controller Reporting to: Regional Financial Controller Location: London Our client is a multinational Metals, Mining and Engineering group headquartered in London with strategic hubs across Australia, Africa, Europe and North America. With a £8 billion turnover and employing 14,000 staff, they are looking to add to their ever growing team. They are now searching for a highly driven individual who can play a key role in their newly formed Finance function of their Steel divison, supporting the commercial and financial control of the business. The Financial Controller role will be based in Central London and the successful candidate will be one of the key members of the team reporting to the Regional Financial Controller. Key Responsibilities: Budgeting & Forecasting across the region Monthly closing of actual results Supporting Regional Financial Controller and other senior management in decision making with facts & figures Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements / Group Accounting Policies Partner to Site Finance Ensure consistency of approach in reporting across clusters within the steel division Develop benchmarks across clusters and sites Tracking of Management initiatives and their achievements Coordinate Sales forecast, budget & Strategy across all sites to ensure alignment in assumption Deviation analysis for Actual Sales vs forecast Weekly Order book profitability analysis Monthly Product profitability & Customer profitability Coordinating with Supply chain to define target for metal inventory & it’s deviation Transfer pricing for Intercompany flows both for Steel and raw material Tracking of Management initiatives and their achievements Fixed cost evolution and driver for deviations Requirments: 5 -10 years in business control and /or accounting, preferably in manufacturing environments Formal accounting or management accounting qualification Responsibility for budgeting and forecasting Direct experience in financial analysis and reporting Knowledge of designing and / or supporting implementation of systems which facilitate financial planning and analysis Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Any other language a plus Team spirit, entrepreneurial instincts and creative mindset Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages
