Overview
BACKGROUND We are currently supporting a Global Investment Bank who are looking for a Finance Analyst. They require someone to help the Pre and Post Deal Services arms of the business. The Post Deal Services arm was set up last year to assist clients during their earn-out period and the pre-deal service supports their clients before they enter in a transaction with a potential buy. They are looking for someone working in accounting or auditing with 5-7 years’ experience who has the ambition to move into a more creative and exciting role. This is not an M&A or Transaction Services role, but the person will get a lot of exposure and understanding of the deals, especially how the earn-outs work. WHAT'S REQUIRED • You should be able to prepare accounts from scratch, carry out consolidation, understand accounts and recognition policies (IFRS and US GAAP) • Strong excel and financial modelling skills • Ability to process and analyse large volumes of data • Knowledge of accounting software i.e. Quickbooks, Sage. Etc • Financial analysis skills. Able to analyse PL, BS and CF • Understanding of the forecasting processes, including working capital and cash flow forecasting • Creative approach and solution focused thinking • Strong written and verbal communication • Willingness to travel between UK and US • Project management skills • Transaction related experience is a bonus ABOUT YOU • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified • 2:1 or above in a numerical based degree • Media experience • Between 5 and 7 years accountancy experience.
