Overview
I'm currently working with a global freight forwarding business who are looking to recruit two Transport Planners to join their ranks, these roles will both be permanent night shifts… The Transport Planners will be working as part of a team at their Midlands Hub onsite responsible for the overseeing of all freight forwarding operations either UK movements or worldwide. As part of the role the you will manage the outbound operation, documentation and HMRC compliance include tracking on time performance. The successful candidate can expect a competitive remuneration package of c£31,000 this is inclusive night shift allowance plus bonus and other benefits. The Transport Planners will oversee movements both inbound and outbound from the Hub building on already good relationship with their customer base, analyse current and historical data to monitor trends, provide management visibility and drive improvements. You will be charged with providing direction and establish clear priorities to guide operational and service performance. The role has real development attached to it with progression within the company available for a candidate who can display the right tenacity and drive. The successful Transport Planners will have experience of working in a freight forwarding transport environment with previous experience in an Air, Road or Ocean Export environment. You will need experience of HMRC regulations and knowledge of transportation and supply chain principles. You will need to be able to communicate at all levels of the business. The Transport Planner roles are based at my client's site in Birmingham, paying a salary of £31,000 inclusive of night shift allowance.
