Job description: The Financial Analyst will add value to NPSG Global's European operations through the creation of standard and ad hoc reports in support of project performance evaluation. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, Europe and in close collaboration with the Operations team, the job holder will consolidate financial and accounting information from various internal and external sources to formulate comprehensive reports for analysis purposes. This role is to bridge the gap between our site based consultants and head office, it will involve regular periods of time on site – field based. You will have a natural ability to review procedures and ask questions to help formulate process improvements, leading project financial reviews. Please note this role will require travel to sites in the UK and Europe - all applicants must hold a valid driving licence. Required profile: Key Responsibilities · Perform financial reporting and operational metrics tracking tasks ( eg. the weekly tracking of operational performance vs. project budget) · Analyse financial data and create financial models to inform decision making. · Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. · Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting. · Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results versus plans. · Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards. · Training operations team members on site during the early stages of projects on reporting requirements to ensure they are able to provide timely and accurate information to the Finance function. · Reviewing performance against operational KPIs with project teams to ensure that targets are achieved. Experience & Skills · Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial, accounting or analyst role. · Experience in fast paced international organisation. · Degree in a relevant subject. · Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. · Advanced Excel skills. · Experience utilising Microsoft Dynamics Navision (Nav). · Good attention to detail, methodical and takes pride in work. · Strong analytical and data gathering skills. · Knowledge of accounting principles. · Strong problem-solving capability. · Flexible to work independently but is also a strong team player. · Resourcefulness to research, create, and implement processes. · Able to meet multiple deadlines and multi-task are essential, using initiative to prioritise. · Positive “can do” attitude with desire to learn, train and develop in the role. · Familiarity with data query/data management tools (Access, SQL, etc.) desirable.
