We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team based in Wigan on a full-time permanent basis. My client is looking for an experienced engineer with experience of working with heavy equipment in an industrial Environment. In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate plus fantastic benefits. Salary is £14.43 per hour working 39 hours per work, exclusive of breaks. This is a days-based role Monday - Friday - great work/life balance As our Maintenance Engineer your role will be to ensure the maintenance, servicing and repair of all equipment to maintain the continuity of the manufacturing operations and the safety of production personnel. Job responsibilities: Maintaining plant and equipment throughout the site. Experience working with Heavy industrial equipment Working as part of a team and working alone. Utilizing own initiative to fault find & rectify problems. Closing out routine work & indents as required by our clients. The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the below skills and experience: Candidates must be computer literate and possess: At least five year’s experience in a maintenance/industrial environment. Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 standard with a time served Mechanical Apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Experience & Knowledge of servicing mechanical equipment is essential. Multi skilling would be advantageous (or willing to undertake training). A working Knowledge of PLC control systems is desirable.
