CS ID 20159 Shift Maintenance Engineers - Continental Wigan £33,000 overtime Alecto Recruitment is looking to recruit on behalf of a market leader in environmental services seeking Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to add to their new team. Working for a newly established and commissioned plant you will be working either electrically or mechanically on fault finding, conducting preventative and reactive maintenance tasks and contributing to the ongoing performance of the site. Our client is well known for investing heavily in the training of their Engineers and staff from an allocated training budget every year. There is excellent career progression and development opportunities available for this reason. Job Duties Electrical tasks include work on single and three phase electrical circuits, AD/DC motors, PLC controls systems and similar. Mechanical work includes fabrication, welding, preventative maintenance and fault finding on mechanical plant including conveyors, sorting systems and hydraulic, pneumatic plant. Shifts are a pattern of days and nights 4 on 4 off rotating 12 hours. Supporting Engineering Supervisor at all times and acting in line with H&S procedures at all times. Applicant Profile NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering Maintenance is preferred. A background in production engineering/manufacturing or a process driven sector we are looking for including manufacturing, waste management, heavy industry and similar. We are delighted to hear from Engineers trained in the Forces seeking their first step into a commercial role. You will need to be based in the Manchester or Liverpool areas to commute to this role.
