Overview

A DAYS based electrical maintenance engineer opportunity in Wigan Your new company Your new company are an established manufacturing organisation with a strong market presence, specialising in the petro-chemical sector. Your new role In your new role as the electrical multi-skilled maintenance engineer, you will work a DAYS shift pattern. Primarily, you will be responsible for: Attending to break downs Fault finding of electrical and mechanical machinery PLC fault finding activity. Liaising with the engineering management, amongst other teams, communicating well as a team player. Ensuring all PPM's are conducted and followed up accordingly. Working in a heavy duty engineering environment Naturally, you are responsible for the safe work of yourself and other colleagues within the manufacturing environment. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, ideally you will hold an apprentice trained NVQ, 17th or 18th edition and a HNC/ONC in electrical engineering. Also you will hold experience including: Working knowledge of industrial and petro-chemical environments (ATEX) Working in fast paced production environments would be beneficial. You adopt a can do attitude with a strong reliability focus and a passion for proactive problem solving methods. Adopting a hands-on approach to proactive fault finding comes naturally to you.
