Overview
With 76 beds and 5 operating theatres, our pre-operative assessment department at Spire Bristol Hospital is very busy and we are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious individual to join our team on a part-time basis working 22.5 hours per week. As the only private hospital in the South West with an Intensive Care Unit, Spire Bristol Hospital has been providing excellent care, expertise and knowledge in a supportive and progressive environment for over 32 years. Duties and responsibilities As a Pre-Assessment Nurse you will work closely with patients prior to planned surgical procedures, ensuring patients are both physically and psychologically prepared for the effects of their operation. You will undertake pre-operative assessments, ensuring patients are fit to undergo surgery and identifying and acting upon any potential health issues that may arise from the surgery. Reporting to the POA Lead Nurse, you will be able demonstrate an advanced level of assessment skills with analysis of clinical findings to determine fitness to proceed to surgery. Who we're looking for Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions Ideally have a background in Pre-Assessment, Surgical or Medical nursing.
