Hardware Design Engineer £40.00 - £50.00 per hour (Umbrella / Ltd Company) 4 months (initially) Are you a Hardware Design Engineer with ORCAD tool chain design experience seeking an immediately available, 4 month contract position in Scotland for a world renowned, award winning Network specialist? Based in Scotland, this company specialise in the design, production and instrumentation of a multitude of network solutions. My client require a Hardware Contract Engineer to accelerate the development of a new Synchronous Ethernet development by taking responsibility for the design and test of a new optical board. In this role you will carry out a multitude of tasks including; schematic design for the new optical board, support PCB Designers during layout, collaboration with product designers and hardware engineers, produce documentation in order to fabricate the PCB as well as test and debugging as required. This role would suit a Hardware Design Engineer, looking to join an immediately available exciting new project for a world renowned and award winning network specialist. The Role: Design the schematics for a new optical board Support an external PCB Designer during the layout of the optical board Produce the documentation that is required to fabricate the PCB and assemble the PCA The Person: ORCAD tool chain design experience Experience with Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) highly advantageous Able to liaise with colleagues of all levels This role is immediately available, please send your CV ASAP for the attention of Michael Beeson to be considered for the role.
