Dimensions provides evidence-based outcomes-focused support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. We help people to be actively engaged in their communities. We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team to support a 33 year old male with a diagnosis of mild Learning Disability, Autism, severe anxiety and challenging behaviour to start his journey in his new home. He is generally a chatty and polite young man who is a pleasure to interact with. It is ESSENTIAL to have a full UK/EU driving licence in order to be able to drive the vehicle of the person you will be supporting His interests include; spending time on his computer, keyring collecting, going to the cinema (especially to watch Batman, Disney and Sci-Fi moves), walking, cycling, going on train journeys, listening to music, looking around charity shops, going for a latte or simply relaxing at home. He will need support with all daily living tasks and to overcome any challenges he may encounter in his new home. We are recruiting a new staff team and have two full time vacancies remaining but will consider part time hours also. We are looking for individuals who share the same interests, have a fun outlook on life and can think outside the box. You will receive extensive training including training in physical intervention to ensure you are equipped in understanding the correct ways to respond, cope and react to difficult situations. , full induction to Dimensions and support with completion of the Care Certificate to enable you to fulfil the role and enhance your personal development.
