Overview
Job Description
A position for a part time Support, Time and Recovery (STR) Worker has become available within the Pan Dorser Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIS). We are looking for an individual who has a good working knowledge of working with people with mental health problems and is passionate about supporting individuals to meet their recovery goals. The EIS is a multidisciplinary community team and covers a mixture of urban and rural areas across Dorset and manages issues that reflect the needs of those of our local population who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. With close working links with the local Community Mental Health Teams, as well as the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, we have established a substantial caseload of patients between the ages of 14 and 65. The applicant will need to be able to work collaboratively within the team as well as function as a lone worker seeing patients and carers in a clinical context. The successful applicant will be able to provide evidence based care and treatment. Previous experience of working within Mental Health would be advantageous as would experience of undertaking physical health checks. Further training and learning opportunities will also be offered. We are looking for someone who can be flexible, innovative and person centred in their practice. Car owner driver essential subject to the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).
