Overview
Learning Disabilities Challenging Behaviour Young Adults Full Job Description Hoop social care are looking for a support worker to work in Vale of Glamorgan supporting young adults with learning disabilities within a residential setting. You will be supporting the young adults with a range of everyday needs and tasks. These can include assisting with washing, companionship, homework and general support whilst out in the community. This is a full time, permanent role which involves days & nights, Monday through to Sunday. The shifts consist of 12 hour shifts. Benefits: Competitive annual leave entitlement Continual professional development through paid training Opportunity to work overtime with bonus incentives/payments available Responsibilities: Carry out and the implementation of care plans Support clients with daily activities, i.e. cooking, homework and possibly personal care Effectively communicate with all service users, staff and professionals Promote independence Adopt creative approaches to challenging behaviour Calm and collected in pressurised situations Requirements: Previous experience as a support worker within a care environment preferred but not essential Ideally qualified to level 2 or 3 in health and social care (not essential) Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota Flexibility with working hours Excellent communication skills Calm and caring manner To apply for this role, contact Leanne McEwen at Hoop Recruitment or
