Commercial Manager Location; Mobile Around London Hours; 37.5 Hours Per Week Salary; Up to £65,000 per annum Benefits Our Client, a multi-national Facilities Management company, is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their high-profile government contract based out of London. The duties for the Commercial Manager are as follows: Control and communicate expenditure and maximise income to achieve or exceed budgeted financial performance. Be the Contractual Expert for the Contract, providing timely information, analysis, advice and support to the operational and administration teams. Work closely with the operational and administration teams to ensure understanding of the key requirements which affect financial recovery and risk and the commercial / financial analyses of the contract. Develop and support the contract commercial team and associated resources. Provide support to identify and price variations (capital works and services) and enforce the requisite contractual processes to achieve proper payment. Actively identify all significant risks and opportunities, prioritising activities to secure opportunities and mitigate risks, keep business fully informed and aware, advise and assist operations teams manage risk and secure opportunities. Commercial management of subcontracts and suppliers. Establish and maintain good responsive communication with the customer and any other end clients. Ensure the timely and accurate production of Contractual Performance and Commercial Services reporting. Contribute to the production delivery and agree the budgets, forecasts and monthly CVR's. Demonstrate a clear and effective alignment with the operational objectives and the commercial interests of IFM. Create, maintain and enforce policies, procedures and governance to manage commercial risk. Review enforce and work to continually improve where appropriate commercial procedures, processes and working documentation. Perform any ad-hoc duties at the discretion of the Account Director, Head of Operations, Business Unit Director or Head of Commercial. Liaison with all contractual parties to administer any associated side agreements e.g. interface agreement, FM agreement, project agreement, direct agreement, collateral warranties. The successful Commercial Manager ideally needs the following k nowledge / qualifications & experience: Strong knowledge of Contract arrangements within the Sector NEC3 Term Service contract experience / comes from civil engineering or building organisation where NEC3 would be trained extensively Experience within the FM sector Experience of using Maximo or other CAFM systems Good knowledge of Contract Law Experience managing Mechanical and Electrical services subcontracting Subcontract and Project Work tendering Ideal Qualifications LLB or LLM if legal qualifications RICS (Quantity Surveying Pathway) or BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying Demonstrable experience of commercial management of Contracts in the order of £10m per annum of turnover. Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis is required Experienced in managing a multi levelled team including Financial, Quantity Surveying and administration functions The successful Commercial Manager will be required to have / go through a very high level of security clearance.
