Overview
A specialist London Market insurance company are looking to hire a Financial Lines Claims Adjuster. You will be responsible for handling UK Professional Indemnity and D&O claims and also International FI and D&O business. The successful applicant will have prior claims handling experience in Financial and Professional Lines of business, in the London insurance market. Excellent relationship building skills are also important, allowing development of key relationships internally and externally; working collaboratively with Underwriters, co-insurers, experts and the claims team. Key Responsibilities Managing claims from notification to closure, investing the necessary level of involvement required for each claim depending on the nature, category, maturity, type and value of the claim. Following at all times the company Claims Reserving Philosophy and Claims Standards. Developing, documenting, communicating and executing claims strategies taking into account uncertainties, key decisions, potential outcomes and estimated associated costs. Reviewing individual claims within the portfolio and keeping reserves and records up to date as required by the company's claims controls and standards. Identifying issues and trends in the portfolio and taking appropriate and/or corrective action. Contributing to marketing and underwriting strategies and future business development. Providing input to underwriters on review of potential or existing insured's claims experience. Reporting and analysing claims trends and developments and their potential impact on the book.
