Logistics Manager
Overview
A brand new opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious property developers and building contractors in Manchester city centre. Projects range up to £100m in value and include the construction of 1, 2 and 3 bed high specification and contemporary living apartments including penthouse suites, built to the highest of quality. Developments also includes the construction of leisure and pool facilities, concierge area and underground basement car parking. The company offer unrivalled career progression with a pipeline of new projects for several years ahead so this is an exciting time to join The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for: · the organisation of safe and efficient site logistics & traffic management · ensuring the smooth running of vehicles, plant machinery, materials & deliveries to and from site · conducting early morning briefings to subcontractors and staff · organising gate staff, delivery schedules & access of vehicles and walkways · organising skips and waste management · day to day problem solving on any logistical issues raised · reporting back to the Project Management and Directors on continuous improvements to be made regarding procedures Experience Required · A background working as a Logistics Manager or Logistics Supervisor for a large building contractor. · Trade background with experience of working on site in a management or supervisory role · Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft office word, excel, outlook · Relevant industry certificates CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid · Ideally appointed person CPCS · Good man management and interpersonal skills, reliable and driven · Ability to work under pressure and problem solve The salary & Package A negotiable Basic Salary is on offer. Please state salary expectation on application. This will be dependent on skills and level of experience. A company car allowance and mileage are on offer along with additional benefits including contributory pension scheme, life assurance and 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
