Are you an experienced Logistics Planning Manager looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity where no two days are the same? If you are commercially confident, passionate and forward thinking, the team at GEOAmey want to hear from you We are looking for a Logistics Planning Manager based in Manchester, working nights. We are offering a fantastic package to join our team What will you be doing? The Logistics Planning Manager is responsible for the management of the overnight planning function within the GEOAmey Logistics Centre. The Planning Manager will be responsible for the quality of routes and achievement of performance standards with optimal use of resources, overseeing the output of the night team. Key responsibilities include: Provide managerial control of the Logistics Centre overnight Sunday to Thursday Check and validate all route schedules throughout the Night Shift To provide rostered 24 hour on call cover during silent hours Operational Management of a highly pressurised planning function Deputise for Head of Logistics as and when required Management of incidents which occur within the field operation ensuring they are escalated through the relevant management structure Proactive checking and validating of systemic information Production of daily MI customer and stakeholder reports Provide consideration to budget constraints within the decision-making process What do you need? Excellent IT Skills – to ideally include PARAGON routing and scheduling software. Managerial people and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present data clearly. Ability to positively react to highly pressurised time sensitive incidents. Adaptable and able to manage in an environment of continuous change. Experience of working within a custodial environment preferred but not essential. Why work for us?
