Overview
MBA are currently recruiting for a forward-thinking financial organisation that is looking for an experienced Professional Services Buyer to join their successful Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management team. Indirect procurement experience is required for this position. About the Role; As a Professional Service Buyer, you will be supporting with the management of the full life cycle of supply chain activities across various areas of indirect services within the organisation. You will be working closely with the Procurement Manager to identify cost-effective procurement solutions as well as maintaining relationships with new and existing 3rd party suppliers. Additional duties include but not limited to; Delivery of category management procurement expertise and support to the Society’s business functions for all their procurement needs. Ensuring the Society delivers cost effective procurement solutions that deliver value for money, sit within the Society’s risk appetite and adhere to the Society’s procurement and contracting policies. Benchmarking and negotiation of existing 3rd party contracts ensuring competitive pricing is achieved and offering alternative solutions where switching to more cost effective providers are appropriate. About You; Ideally you’ll be MCIPS qualified or working towards the qualification along with experience in a procurement role ideally within financial services. You'll have experience of multi supplier environments as well as knowledge of a wide range of major suppliers, market knowledge, products and pricing models. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be in regular contact with both internal and external stakeholders and customers. Job Details; Full time, permanent vacancy – 35hrs Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
