Overview
Shift: Mon – Friday (7.30am – 16.00pm) Due to continued growth and investment I am recruiting for a Buyer to work with a market leader in the design, test and delivery of world class steering systems. As the Buyer you will be responsible for purchasing a range of raw material and components for the production process, to ensure the continuous availability that meet production timing, cost and quality requirements, to ensure the effective and efficient administration of the entire procurement process. Commutable from: Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Birmingham Duties: • Planning and buying materials and parts • Placing purchase orders with suppliers and managing the supplier to ensure parts are delivered when required to support customer needs • Preparing management information reports on raw material market and procurement process activities in order to ensure managers have the required information allowing them to make informed decisions • Supplier accreditation & assessments • Leading and supporting negotiations • Planning & preparing for future tender activities The successful candidate for the Buyers position will have the following experience: • 3 – 5 years’ experience working as a Buyer within a manufacturing environment (Essential) • CIPS 4 qualified (Essential) • Ability to effectively use Excel (Essential) • Ability to read technical drawings (Essential) Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
